It would be very useful to be able to insert method documentation at the time of extraction. Currently I have to extract a method, then use the Document Method snippet to comment it properly.
As far as I can tell, this would only require the implementation of the $MethodArg$ reserved string (and its related type and name strings) for the Extract Method snippet. This would allow me to put all the relevant information in the documentation comment from the Extract Method snippet and remove the need to run two snippets for extracting methods. It may only save 30 seconds, but it would save quite a bit of annoyance :) |

This is an interesting idea, I have put in a feature request to see what our developers make of it:

For now, are you aware you can map a keyboard shortcut to the command VAssistX.DocumentMethod in the IDE keyboard settings? Not as fast, but this would help you trigger Document Method more quickly and easily. |
