This has caused me tons of grief... Lots of times, I will format indentations and spacing against the way VA wants it to be formatted, for clarity. However, when I need to copy or move this text, when I paste it VA will reformat it back. IMO, at least by default, text should not be formatted when it is pasted. |

Have you turned Off:
VA Options -> Correction -> Format after paste
this will fix your problem. We try to pick sensible defaults, but we have options because different people want and need different behaviour, so no defaults will ever be perfect for everyone.
Are you aware you can simply use Undo, Ctrl-Z after paste, to undo any formatting that VA applied? |

It's amazing how an option can be staring you in the face and you overlook it. And I wasn't aware, thanks! |
