 How does one properly backup VAssist settings?		  New Topic  Reply to Topic

I can't tell you how many times I have moved to a new machine or between machines and my Visual Assist settings are not able to be carried over. It's very frustrating.

Is there any official backup method for Visual Assist settings? Would be nice if you integrated VAssist settings with the built-in visual studio export settings file.

Please advise.

You can export your VA settings via the following button:

VA Options -> Performance -> Export

I have added a comment with your idea to

case=79188

which is about improving this exporting feature.

Note that this feature does not export your VA snippets and custom dictionaries. You will find a more complete guide on this here:
