I'm using Chinese version of VS.NET 2003 on WinXP Pro CHS.

Strange enough, synstax coloring works perfect in windows like "Object Browser" and "Wizard bar". But in source window, it doesn't work at all :(

And the runtime info:

Try build 1220. We believe it contains a fix for you.

Hi,

I have same problem with English .NET 2003 on XP Pro (notebook, Pentium 4-M, system and user locale set to "Russian", location set to "Ireland"). I don't have coloring in the source window in .NET 2003.
In VC6 everything works perfectly.

Also, I've tried to uninstall VAX and install VA6Setup1106.exe and VANETSetup1106.exe, but syntax coloring does not work with VA.NET 1106 any longer. I've tried to delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato" and "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Whole Tomato" and reinstall, but this does not help.

.NET 2003 is crippled now :-(

Sincerely,

Sergio

If you open Tools/Options/Fonts&Colors, you should see a list of color-able attributes. We see an attribute "Identifier" in the list, what is the translation for this attribute in:
Chinese? "#26631;#35782;#31526;", "#35672;#21029;#38917;", other?
Russian?

I think it should be "-?+?+?-?-+++", in Chinese

Try adding the following registry entry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato\\VAnet]
"Identifier"="-?+?+?-?-+++"

Let us know if this works and we will put it in the next build.

Sergio: Can you post a smaller screen shot? Just a section of the options dialog.

Hello,

I've just installed VAX on clean Windows XP Pro and coloring in VS.NET 2003 works without problems.

But on my notebook (where VA 6 and VA.NET 7.1 were previously installed, registered and worked without problems) it still does not work with VS.NET 2003.

The main problem for me is that if I uninstall VAX and install VA.NET 7.1 - it will not show coloring in VS.NET 2003 as well.
Is there any registry key or file, which I can delete to resolve this problem?

Sincerely,

Sergio

Try the "Use Defaults" button in the "Fonts and Colors" dialog of the IDE. Otherwise, wait for build 1224 -- it will have numerous fixes related to fonts, attributes and coloring.

Hello,

I've tried "Use Defaults" button (and restart), but it didn't help.

I don't know how this happened, but coloring works now.

I did only 2 things today:
1) Reduced paging file size from 512 to 128 MB (I have 768 MB of RAM).
2) Clicked several times on "VAssistX/Tools/VA View" (without closing "VA view" tab).

Sincerely,

Sergio
