I started noticing this with my recent updates to Visual Studio 2022 and VA. I keep the VA view in a set of tool windows at the bottom of my VS window that auto-hide when I click away. I can click it to bring it up and begin typing. This works normally when using it locally. However, if I'm in a Remote Desktop window, I'm getting a lot of input lag and also refresh issues in the results. It makes it fairly unusable unless I know exactly what file I'm going to and I can hit it as the top result. I don't experience this with other auto-hide windows I have at the bottom like Solution Explorer.

Here's my version info:
VA_X64.dll file version 10.9.2530.0 built 2024.07.30
DevEnv.exe version 17.11.35208.52 Enterprise
msenv.dll version 17.0.35125.118
Comctl32.dll version 6.10.27670.1000
Windows 11 11.0 Dev Build 27670 (remote)
24 processors (x86-64)
Language info: 1252, 0x409

Doing a simple test, connecting from one Windows 11 computer to another, using the default Remote Desktop settings, so far I cannot reproduce this problem.

To see if they make a difference, can you please export your VA and IDE settings and send them to me:

VA Options -> Performance -> Export Settings
IDE tools menu -> Import and Export Settings -> Export selected environment settings

I can then import them here and see if I can reproduce the problem. Please send me the files via email:

including this thread ID or URL in the description, so we can match it up.
