I've looked all over the Visual Assist options but I can't find the place to disable loading the VA Welcome tab. I checked the tab, in Options under startup, and I've searched here, but I can't find anything. I'm sure I've overlooked it, but maybe someone can help.

Which IDE and version of VA are you using?

You should see this on a new install, but not all the time after that. Using VS2022 and VA 2610.0 I have just re-loaded VS2022 and reloaded my solution several times in a row, and not seen this screen once.

VA
VA_X64.dll file version 10.9.2610.0 built 2026.04.01
Windows 11 11.0 25H2 Build 26200

Visual Studio
For 2022 it did show once then stopped.
For 2026 (Enterprise) 18.5.1, it shows on every start
For 2026 (Enterprise) Insiders [11716.218] it shows on every start

It isn't showing all the time for me in VS2026 either. Are these two versions of VS2026 installed on the same machine? Or is this on different machines?

Are you running VS2026 as admin?

How are you loading VS2026? Perhaps that is a factor.

Do you see the screen appear if you make a new, default C++ solution and load that instead in VS2026? It seems unlikely this would make a difference, but its a quick and easy test, and occasionally odd problems are solution specific.
