I had Visual Assist working on Visual Studio 2003 but
after uninstalling VS 2003 and installing Visual Studio 2005
it is not working with VS 2005
even after installing again the Visual Assist.

I also have VS 6.0 and it is working correctly.

please help!!

Are you using the Express Edition? If so VAX won't work due to EE's limited features. Not a VAX issue, it was Microsoft's call ;)

Edit: My lack of typing ability ;)

rhummer is quite correct.

if you have VS2005 standard or above do you have a VAssistX menu in the IDE? any sign of the VA toolbar?

Make sure you have a 14xx build of VA X. Obviously, we recommend the latest build. Build numbers with 13xx or earlier won't even look for VS2005.

Note that if your version is too old, this will work only in demo mode. Details on the download page.

jpizzi is referring to your license key. you may need to renew your VA license to run the latest version, but you can still run 1440 in demo mode to try out the new features, including VS2005 integration.
