After opening a large .JS file, the IDE Crashes. To reproduce, try opening a client_side script from ComponentArt.
The file is 18649 Bytes long and the code is all on one line.
Before we begin the hunt for a sample to reproduce the problem, is the script on one line intentionally, e.g. to save space, or are EOL characters for the script incompatible with what your IDE expects?
Can you open the script in Notepad or Word and see line breaks?
Do you have a sample script you can zip and send us for testing?
The single line is intentional. I can open it in notepad and there are not any line breaks in it. The single EOL is the correct CR/LF characters. I do have a sample that I can email you. What addy do you want me to send it to?
Just emailed an example of the .JS file. And your are correct, ComponentArt is the one that came up in your search.
Great thanks! Unfortunately since the code comes from a Third-Party, I don't have the ability to reformat them as it would become a pain to go and do that for each file everytime an update was released.
