VA X converts Unix newlines (LF) to Windows newlines when a multiline selection is commented, parenthesized, embraced or ifdef-d:
- Open VS .NET 2003
- Create a new file
- Enter some lines
- Save it with Unix line feeds (Menu File/Extended save options... or alike)
- Check line ends are LF
- Ensure that "Surround selection ..." is enabled on the "Text editor/General" option tab
- Select some lines
- Press / or * or ( or { or #
- Find the line ends changed to CRLF for the affected lines
I am using VA.X 1442. Please, preserve line ends :-)
