VC6: Context and definition bar is missing from a new window created by using menu Window\\New Window. Closing the first window does not prompt the bar to appear.
Visual Studio 2003 and 2005 are OK.

what type of new window are you making? i have just used file -> new window to add a new cpp file, and the VA wizard bar appeared at the top of the new window immediately, without any action from me.

VC6 and VA 1531

I see the same thing as d_p_robinson. Don't create a new window with anything from the file menu, use the Window menu and select New Window.
