| This doesn't work for me, I presume because my window backrgound is black with light text. Is there a way to make this work without resorting to changing my window background color? |

The functionality works for us.
How do you set your background color? We set the foreground and background of Plain Text and Identifier using Tools|Options|Environment|Fonts and Colors.
What IDE do you have?
What programming language?

I had a similar problem with the "Courier" font. Then I switched to "New Courier" and back to "Courier" once. This solved the problem permanently.

There's invalid state in the registry that causes this problem - haven't been able to track it down yet... changing the font fixes it and I think it is vc6 only. |

| Sorry, should have provided more detail. I am on VS2005, C++, background is set to black in the IDE. I am indeed using the Consolas font and I've verified that if I switch to Courier, then it works fine. But even when switching back and forth, Consolas has yet to work properly. Is this a known issue with this font? |
