Hi,

i use windowblinds and if it skinnes VC8 then the text in the refactormenus are not visible. If windowblinds is unloaded, all menus are correct.

which IDE and version of VA are you using?
which menu are you seeing this on? the VAssistX menu on the IDE?
VA's shift + right click menu?
the refactoring menu you trigger by using the mouse to open the hovering refactoring icon?

does it matter if you use a different skin?
is the skin you are using applying its own colour scheme?
can you post a screen shot?

this may be related to

case=472 references the issue in this thread:
http://forum.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5042

Does that sound the same?

Baladur: To post a screenshot (if you can get one), either host the image on an image-hosting website, or e-mail it to [email protected].

I have the last version of VAX installed and use Visual Studio 2005.

VA_X.dll file version 10.3.1539.0 built 2006.10.12
VAOpsWin.dll version 1.3.3.6
VATE.dll version 1.0.5.8
DevEnv.exe version 8.0.50727.42
msenv.dll version 8.0.50727.42
Font: Courier New 13(Pixels)
Comctl32.dll version 6.0.2900.2180
Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2
Single processor

I will send you a email with the pictures from the menu. The issue 472 is not the same. All other apps draw the menus correct.

it turns out WB 5.1 will run in a VMWare, which is helpful.

case=3106

the problem does not effect the VAssistX IDE menu, which is how I personally tend to trigger all of my refactoring, due to easy keyboard access.

from years of experience with WB (various versions) you may find that this problem is skin specific. I only tried the default skin (Aura), but older format skins that do not make use of alpha blending may not have this problem. It is also possible that Stardock can do something about this from their end, so you may want to contact them.

personally I would exclude the IDE, since we have had bug reports about getting WinXP to skin the IDE its self can cause strange problems with how certain controls behave when you compile your code.

Workaround is probably to disable window blinds for the IDE.
