I am trying out Visual Assist X and have noticed the enhanced syntax coloring of variables is kinda quirky even when the identifiers are used in the same way.

Here's a screenshot of how Visual Assist is highlighting some variables in my VB.NET codebehind:

The line of code in particular that isn't being colored correctly is:

Public strProductID, strCategoryID, strCategoryID2, strCurrentLocation, strResults As String

As you can see in the screenshot only the first and last string variables are highlighted and recognized as variables. It is very random in which variables it chooses to color and which ones it doesn't.

Here's my version info:

VA_X.dll file version 10.3.1540.0 built 2006.10.27
VAOpsWin.dll version 1.3.3.7
VATE.dll version 1.0.5.9
DevEnv.exe version 7.10.3077.0
msenv.dll version 7.10.3077.0
Font: Courier New 13(Pixels)
Comctl32.dll version 5.82.2900.2982
Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2
Single processor

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description. It seems that only the first and last variables are correctly coloured. For now the work around is to split the variables onto more lines.
