Vax will take very long time to parse all file in the project, e.g, for a huge project, which contains about ten thousands .c files, visual studio could hardly stop responding to my input. To compare with ctags and source insight, they take less time than vax use.
May be vax will get more information than the others, but shall we improve the performance of vax's parser? |

I have used ctags, and all it seems to do, for the default parameters, is locate the function prototypes. VA's parser has to do different things.
which IDE and version of VA are you using? VA's parser should not slow you down this much, but VS2005 is quite capable of bringing your machine to its knees without VA installed due to its C++ intellisense parser. |
