Context and Definition Fields are not showing up for me. In my VA options, "View Context and Definition Fields" is checked. I've tried unchecking and rechecking, moving it top and bottom, but it doesn't show up. Show methods in current file doesn't work either.

Has anything changed recently on your system? I am assuming this is a recent problem, so wondering what triggered it. Do you have any other plugin's installed?
Have you tried turning off:
IDE tools menu -> Options -> Text Editor -> C/C++ -> Navigation bar
to see if this makes any difference? This assumes you are working in C++. |

I'm working in C#. I tried disabling the C++ navigation bar, which didn't do anything.
I've had this problem for a while now. |

I have seen this problem occasionally in VC6 on one of my test systems, but I am always able to get the VA wizard bar to show eventually.
Can you try disabling the C# navigation bar to see if that makes any difference?
IDE tools menu -> Options -> Text Editor -> C# -> Navigation bar
Do you have any other plugin's installed? they should be listed in:
IDE tools menu -> Add-in Manager -> list of available add-ins |

As you can see by the posted support information, naveed's support ended 2006.7.11, so installing 1543 is not an option, unless naveed only wants to use it for three days. :) |

Yes, but it is possible installing a new build will "shock" the IDE back into working. Or it might work in 1543, which would be nice. |
