I'm using VAX with a project containing many classes. If I open a file, that was not opened before for some time, then the IDE only responses very slow for some seconds. This is very annoying if I open some files one after another to search something. Is there any way to avoid this?

Can you please try disabling the IDE's intellisense parser, as described in this FAQ, and see if that makes any difference:

This is a common cause of performance problems.
