Is it possible to have VA not parse specific directories? There are setting to allow additional directories but there seems no way to skip directories.
No, this is not possible. If you want to skip certain directories that are included via the IDE directories tab, then you could tell VA to use custom include dirs and not list whatever standard dirs you want skipped (VAssistX | VA Options | Projects | C/C++ Directories - change from Win32 to Custom). But there is no way to tell VA to skip project dirs or project additional include dirs.
