We are happy to announce the availability of Visual Assist X version 10.4, build 1609 (beta). This build has many new features and numerous fixes.
Requires maintenance through 2007.09.14
New for 1609:
- Support for Visual Studio 2008 (Orcas)
- Consolidated listboxes. VA Snippets (formerly known as Autotext) and suggestions appear in one listbox
- VA Outline, a new tool window that gives you an active high-level view of the contents of the current text editor
- Multiple Find References results windows
- Search within a given Find References results list
- Find References is optionally available on only the current file
- Surround With (VA X) is now part of the IDE context menu in VS2003 and VS 2005 to provide easier access to VA Snippets that contain $selected$
- Specify default values in VA Snippets that can be overridden when prompted
- Options dialog has been reworked
- Rename optionally updates comments and strings
- Installer is signed
- Default list of VA Snippets list is trimmed down
- Improved parsing of C# and VB.Net source
- Improved startup performance of managed solutions
