Consider this typo:
map<int, CMyClass>:.const_iterator iter;
I do this all the time (shift + '.' = ':'). It would be great if VAX could fix such errors :)

You must have a different keyboard layout to mine. On my keyboard SHIFT+; = :

This opens up a while can of worms, since depending on your current keyboard settings different typo's exist. Some users swap between different keyboard schemes in real time, for example when moving between comments and code.

I don't think we want to get into anything so "vague" and open ended. You might be better off making more use of VA Snippets to enter lines like this for you. I know I quickly get tired of typing such code, to much typing, I much prefer to use snippets for it if possible, or just accept suggestions.

True, but ":." is never a valid C++ token ;)

That's fair, but why should VA assume that the second character was the typo while the first character was correct? What if the first character was the typo and the second character is correct?

I am concerned that VA will start replacing what people want to write with what VA thinks they should be writing, which could cause all sorts of problems. We have enough reports of this sort of behaviour as it is!
