Sometimes when I type, and the suggestion window appears, no item is selected. This happens a lot, and I really do not want to press <down arrow> <enter> to get the suggested text.

What's wrong?

I agree that this should be a setting in the GUI. That would make it a lot easier to adjust than fiddling around in the registry.
The simplest solution is often the most difficult one to reach.
