Hi,
I read that file renames are too troublesome, so what about a smart save as functionality?
It would save the file next to the original one, and add the new file to the project next to the original one.
This seems to be possible if there is an "add file to project" hook in VS which handles integrated SCM systems.

That does make a lot of sense.
The only obvious problem with this is files that exist in more than one project. The IDE allows you do to this, which can cause all sorts of interesting problems. |
