Sometimes, not very often, the obvious choice in autocomplete is not focused. So hitting tab just tabs rather than making the obvious selection.
Visual studio 2005, C++, vista 32bit, working in a header file. If you need more information please ask.

Thanks that seems to have done it, probably should have searched there first. Shouldn't this be default behavior though? |

The FAQ's are useful, if you know what I called the problem you are having To quote from this FAQ entry:
>> This happens when Visual Assist X thinks you are adding a new variable or function, so the suggestion may not be valid.
This is why this was done, since when you are adding a new symbol, and want to place a tab character after it, which caused the suggestion to be accepted even though it was not what you wanted. It is optional since this is something that some people like, and some people hate. Overall we feel the default behaviour is the best for most users, most of the time. |
