Was this a one off problem, or are you seeing it every time? Do you have any other IDE plugins installed?
So far I am not seeing any problems here. When I type a symbol name that is not know the drop down list of items just gets emptier, and then completely empty, as I continue typing. No crash here.
I see the problem every time, but the crash does not occur until I press enter. I know it's pointless to press enter if there's no match, but sometimes my fingers are faster than my brain.
I do have other IDE plug-ins installed - Codekana 1.1.2 and SlickEdit Editor Tools 2.x. Disabling (as opposed to uninstalling) Codekana has no effect; I don't see a way to disable SE Tools short of uninstalling it. If you think I need to try that let me know.
I have reproduced this behavior in VS2008 with no other add ins using our latest internal build. We'll post a message to this thread when it's fixed. Thanks for the report; we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
