I think it would be a nice idea if Visual Assist could offer various default text colour settings eg if I wanted to program on a black background, then the white background default colours do not look very good. It would be great to provide default colourings on a per background colour basis!

I agree! But we would probably only offer defaults for white and black, maybe grey. And we would only check the editor background color without attempting to accommodate mixed background environments (one background color in editor, different background color in views, etc).

Excellent, that sounds great Sean! I see you've given it a case number there. Does that mean you would be able to give an ETA on when it might be released?

We try to avoid giving estimates. Even once a change has been made internally getting a new build through testing and out the door does not always go smoothly.

For now once you have setup your VA settings you can simply export them and back them up:

VA Options -> Performance -> Export Settings

so they can be easily imported on another machine.

@pocruadhlaoich
youre cute.
a case number only means it's in their database and therefor some place exists where the issue won't get lost easily, discussion can take place, etc.
it does not mean however that it will ever get done.
at least thats how issue tracking systems usually work.
i dont know any company that implements everything that gets an issue #.

Use the source, Luke!
