imo, it will be a very-very handy feature. of course, it should use ~10 last saved clipboard entries, not only the last one.

yes, I am, and I use it a lot.
often, you just know, that you've copied the world recently; and it will be much better to just start typing it and then hit 'Tab' instead of scanning this list, and using arrow keys for selection. |

What happens when you have just copied 300 lines of code to the clipboard?
This makes sense for single words, and a bit of sense for parts of a line, but the bigger the piece of text in the clipboard the more concerned I am that you are going to get "unwanted" effects. |

well, isn't it obvious, that anything with '\\n' in it should be filtered out?
or do you expect me to write a detailed specification for you to implement? |

I am trying to understand what you want and expect to happen. I try to avoid making to many assumptions about what is "obvious" since they are often wrong Different people work in very different ways, so often want very different things.
I have put in a feature request for this to see what our developers make of it:
