Take the following code:
		lpwndpos->flags &= ~SWP_SHOWWINDOW;
		lpwndpos->flags &= ~ SWP_HIDEWINDOW;


On the first line the tilde is colored as part of the define of SWP_SHOWWINDOW.
On the second the tilde is considered separate.

Which version of Visual Assist do you use?

My tilde remains black in both cases with VS2008 and 1649.

Now, I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description.
I believe this is part of

case=4312

so I have put a note on this case.

case=4312 is fixed in build 1859
