Hi,

I was not able to change the folder where VisualAssist stores its data from C:\\Documents and Settings\\Maarten\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\VisualAssist to my G: drive.

I followed the instructions from the FAQ. I closed all IDEs and in

REG:\\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato\\Visual Assist X\
I created a new value (SZ_EXPAND) called UserDataDir with the location of my new folder, but this did not work.

Any help is appreciated!

Which IDE and version of VA are you using?
Which OS are you using?

Sorry for the late reply (I need disk space on C:\\ again, so I would like to continue this topic).
I am using VA 10.4.1649 on Windows XP

Try moving the UserDataDir value to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato (instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Whole Tomato\\Visual Assist X).
