In some cases Visual Assist will stop coloring code, leaving it to the default Visual Studio 2005 style. Two cases where I common see this happen in my C++ project is when I collapse a function or I alt-select some bit of text.
In the first case the collapsed function line stops drawing. In the second any line which is included in my alt selection stops drawing:
This behavior is 100% consistent and applies to any C++ file.
