Hello!

I can see the attraction of adding the Project column to the Open File in Solution dialog box when you have lots of identically-named but distinct files, but it's a problem when you have a workspace with lots of projects that share the same include files, because the same files are listed over and over again.

Would it be possible to add a checkbox to show/hide the Project column on the fly, with the dialog preferably remembering how the checkbox was set when the dialog was last used? When the Project column is hidden, the list would then revert to its previous behaviour of only listing each distinct file once.

Thanks for considering the request...!

Chris

We'll probably leave the project column. For the duplicate entries, we'll either list it as 'Multiple projects' or possibly append all of the project names into the field. case=21879

Thanks for that. So long as each unique file only appears once in the list, that would be excellent.

case=21879 is implemented in build 1715
Right-click in OFIS and select Combine duplicate file entries.
