i love vax but one real annoying problem is that i never know whether i will need to hit the tab key or down arrow first and then tab to accept.
is this some kind of design decision? if so i would like an option to allow tab to *always* select the first suggestion without having to hit the down arrow key first. otherwise lots of these smart features are really hard to use.
I assume you are talking about accepting an item in a suggestion listbox. If so then have a look at this FAQ entry, there is a setting to make sure suggestion listboxes always have focus:
