I always wanted to see the usage of a variable or method before renaming it. Also most of the time I would like to change some code around the new renamed variable or method. It will be a very easy if you can add a button on that window which can launch quick rename dialog box!

A very interesting idea, I like this. I have put in a feature request to see what our developers make of it:
