// RECT has type of struct and defined in wtypes.h
RECT ArrayOfRect[] = {0};
int Indexes[] = {0};
ArrayOfRect[Indexes[0]]->bottom = 0;

Here VA unexpectedly converted dot to ->. But VA works fine if there is a space between right brackets:
ArrayOfRect[Indexes[0] ].bottom = 0;
