No matter how I choose the color in the Font and Colors dialog, the tooltip coloring in 2010 always use the default color (Blue for classes, Navy for variables, Purple for macros and Brown for methods).
I'm getting used to Gray for variables so please fix this!
(1814 in 2010RC also have this problem, but I thought you will fix this obvious bug in the next release, yet you didn't....)

This is a bug in the VS2010 extensibility framework and we will not be able to fix it. |

In VS2012, when I change the color for Variables (under Enable Enhanced Syntax Coloring) to black or any other color, the change doesn't seem to stick. It appears to take affect in the settings screen, even after closing and re-opening the options, but when I close visual studio and re-open it, the Variables color is always reset back to Navy. The colors for classes, methods, and macros can be customized and don't have this issue. Is this the same bug with the VS2010 extensibility framework mentioned here, or a different issue? |

No, this must be a different problem. Can you please try if you are able to change the color using
Tools -> Options... -> Environment -> Fonts and Colors -> VA X Variable
If it still doesn't work, can you please try resetting your colors?
- Tools -> Options... -> Environment -> Fonts and Colors -> Use Defaults - Restart VS - Try setting the colors again
If you have way too much customization, you can save the colors first via the save settings dialog:
Tools -> Import and Export Settings... |

Ah, perfect. I just changed the color in visual studio Fonts and Colors dialog and it works perfectly now. I didn't realize you could customize visual assist's colors from there with the VA X entries. Thanks! |
