Is it possible to disable auto suggestion while I'm typing code?
I would like to call suggestions only when I wish to.
Right now I enter a contextual menu almost every time I type a key in the C++ text editor.
It's very annoying.

You can control the suggestions here:

VA Options -> Advanced -> Suggestions
