When I try to install build 1830 a command window pops up with the following error message:
Run-time error [106]: Undefined command 'GetFileVersionInfoSizeA' [ 1480 : 5C8 ]

Which OS are you running? Is it a 32 or 64bit OS?
What file extension does the installer have? Is it a .exe or .vsix file you are trying to install? What is the file size of the installer? I am wondering if you have a corrupt download of the installer. |

Hi!
I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit. Installer name is VA_X_Setup1830.exe
I have Visual Studio 2008 installed.
The installer size is 10.754.808 bytes and md5 checksum is: 66fc06b352e21181dbcc356dc846a394

That is very strange, the file size and md5 checksum both look correct. I have no idea why you had this problem with the installer. Do you remember which version of VA you were using before, that you had to uninstall? |

Very strange. I have just tried upgrading VA 1819 to VA 1830 on Windows 7 64bit, and the installer ran without any errors, and the upgrade was successful.
If you have this sort of problem again hopefully we can find out what the root problem is, and fix it. |

Hi, I have a similar problem. VA_X_Setup1830.exe just doesn't seem to want to run at all when I select run or double click it.
My OS is Windows XP sp3
I have no idea what happens but the install process doesn't start and does not appear in the process lest in the task manager.
I never had this program installed before. |

Are you running the installer from a local drive or some form of network share?
It is possible you have a corrupt download. The file size of the installer should be 10,754,808 bytes. |

I've got the same error again! I'm trying to upgrade from build 1830 to 1833. I assume I can resolve it the same way, but it would be nice if we could find the actual problem.
Would a mini-dump of the installer process be of any help?

I found the error! Apparently I had a FOLDER called 'version.dll' in 'AppData\\Local\\Temp' which prevented the installer from loading the actual dll-file where 'GetFileVersionInfoSizeA' is.

I am glad you have found the problem. We are not sure this problem could be detected by our installer, since it probably never even started correctly, due to this folder replacing the expected dll. |

PaddyMax are you seeing problems running our installer?
If you have directories in your %TEMP% directory with the same name as normal dll files then this is likely to cause problems. I would not expect you to have directories like this, but if you do, then they could be hiding other dll files as well. |
