The "Format after paste" option also formats your selected text when you click somewhere inside the selection. To repro: 1. Type some text that's not indented according to your formatting rules. E.g.:
int foo(int a,
int b,
int c);
(If you paste this example, make sure to undo the auto format) 2. Select the text you typed. 3. Click somewhere inside the selection.
Only repros when the VAX option Advanced > Corrections > Format after paste is selected.
This behaviour has been bugging me for a while. I am used to clicking somewhere in the text editor to cancel selection and now I have to be careful to click outside the selection if I want to avoid re-formatting of my code.
Now at least I know that it is possible to turn it off. Thanks.
This is marked as fixed internally. It is yet to be tested but if it will pass our internal testing process it should appear in the next build. Fortunately, there is a workaround for this.
