Posted - Aug 14 2006 : 1:14:58 PM Sorry, should have provided more detail. I am on VS2005, C++, background is set to black in the IDE. I am indeed using the Consolas font and I've verified that if I switch to Courier, then it works fine. But even when switching back and forth, Consolas has yet to work properly. Is this a known issue with this font? |

Posted - Aug 14 2006 : 1:12:46 PM case=1198 There's invalid state in the registry that causes this problem - haven't been able to track it down yet... changing the font fixes it and I think it is vc6 only. |

Posted - Aug 14 2006 : 1:00:05 PM I had a similar problem with the "Courier" font. Then I switched to "New Courier" and back to "Courier" once. This solved the problem permanently.

How do you set your background color? We set the foreground and background of Plain Text and Identifier using Tools|Options|Environment|Fonts and Colors.
What IDE do you have?
What programming language?
