In previous versions (I can't remember which one), the "Spell check" tool was available for any file but this isn't the case any longer. I have a Version.txt file in my project which I want to spell check but since 1539 (and probably some more versions back) the "Spell check" tool is disabled for that file. It works great for my .cpp file though. |

This is in our list. For now I would suggest using a different program for editing text files, one that does spell checking. Personally I tend to do my text in MS Word and then copy / paste it into text files, since I find the spell checking to be useful, and the copy / paste into notepad makes sure I am not accidentally relying on any MS Word file format features.
