I occasionally run into problems in split window mode where I'm typing in one pane, but every time I type "(" it appears in the other pane. In another variant, I cannot type "(" at all, even when there are no split windows. I have not customized any replacement/smart complete/formatting rules.
Using VAX 10.4.1624.0 for C++ in Visual Studio 2005. |

Do you have "Show Miscellaneous files in Solution Explorer" turned on?
You can find this option here: Tools/Options/Environment/Documents
There is a known problem where brackets are sometimes sent to the wrong file if this setting is turned on. |
