You are not the only person having a pile of VS6 Fortran code.
It would be best to ask Intel if they plan to support future VS releases. According to Intel (http://www.intel.com/software/products/compilers/docs/fwin/getting_started.htm) they are already fully supporting VS 2008.

Do you happen to know if Intel plans to offer their Fortran integrated with VS 2008 (2010?) in the future? We have a few mixed C++/Fortran projects under VS6 that would be nice to update in the future, but we jumped from VS6 directly to VS2008. |

No, the old discontinued Compaq/Digital Visual Fortran was. Since Intel took over it's an integrated part of VS 2005 .NET. |

Sad, this would greatly benefit a number of R&D communities both within academia and industry.
I expect that Visual Assist could reach a new big group of users by implementing this. |
