Just love these rating tomatoes. Great idea. And they are beautiful. |

Thank you. Now I'm just trying to remove that distasteful black border and change it so that it's more in line with our forum theme - Lycopene Green.... :)
Here's a thought - You guys come up with a Tomato rating system of 1 - 5 but with tomato themed words instead of highest ... lowest. |

Ahhh.... finally fixed that black border thing.
Here's my problem - Cherry Tomato doesn't really say "Highest Priority" to me. It needs to be something obviously intuitive (oxymoron?) to the nube who enters this forum. I had thought of Dried Tomato, Tomato Paste, Tomato Soup and some others with Lycopene but none I can think of so far meets my criteria.
Oh ya, how about changing the title of a brand new user to Lycoweeney...hehe |

Being a german I wouldn't know what you mean by calling me a Lycoweeney...
What about (for the rating) the "ripe degree" of the Tomatoes?
So you could also play around with colors in the different rating-pics (from green to shiny red).
The more "ripe" the more important the thread... |

Jeff's suggestion would work for rating people's newness to the forums.

I tend to agree with Stephen...hehehe - Uni, just kidding. :)
So neither rating suggestions are intuitive to me. Here's my thought process.
Green - Looking good but not finished yet. Ripe - It's done perfectly and ready to consume. Soft - I'll eat it if I have to as long as it's not squishy Squishy - Same as rotten in my book Rotten - Just throw it away
I guess the problem is nothing should be "Ripe" in the rating system since everything 5,4,3,2 or 1 means different levels of problems - 5 being "Rotten" fix it first.
ok - I'm thinking too hard on this. I'll give it a rest already. :) hehe
ok - one more thought. Maybe it should be
5 - Fix it now (or I'll only buy 5 copies...hehe) 4 - This is driving me crazy but not as much as 5 3 - It would be nice if you fixed it soon but I can live without it now 2 - This problem is getting old 1 - Fix it when you get a round tuit |

The problem is that 'maters don't have a good mapping to the concept of "severity". Maybe just stick with something like: Fatal, Critical, Important, Desirable, Trivial...

To me, words don't have much advantage over numbers. |

Yes, it is better than just numbers, whatever I claimed before. |
