So, the top half of the VA View seems to remember recent selections I've made from "Files in Workspace" and "Symbols in Workspace" so that I can go back to them easily. That's nice, but is there anything more I can do with it? (I didn't find any documentation on it).

One thing which I tried to do, but which didn't work, was to drag a function from the hovering class browser into the top half of the VA View. And/or it could remember functions I've double-clicked on in the hovering browser.

Add page on the VA View will soon point to the components.

So the little window in the VA View is called MRU? (.../mru.html is still empty).

To rephrase my question, how can things get into MRU? Only by selecting items from FIW and SIW? I would like other ways to store things in there, such as dragging them from the HCB into the MRU, or double-clicking in the HCB, or maybe even when using "Goto definition" from the right-click menu in the source window, or forcing the current function or line in the source window to be added somehow.

I guess my point is that there are lots of ways to navigate around the source. If I use ways other than the FIW and SIW, how can I add my navigations to the MRU? (Tell me if I'm missing something, or if I'm talking nonsense for some reason!).

I can't make head nor tail of the middle part of VAView. On my machine, the middle box (the one containing filenames) always contains names from the *previous* solution I had open.

What's it suppose to be?

We failed to update the site yesterday. Our mistake. The links work.

http://www.wholetomato.com/x/products/features/fiw.html
http://www.wholetomato.com/x/products/features/siw.html
http://www.wholetomato.com/x/products/features/mru.html

Currently, the only two ways of putting items in the MRU are via the FIW and SIW dropdowns. We are considering the suggestion to add double-clicks in the HCB.

During early testing, we found the MRU became useless if we included all navigation methods. We never gathered a valuable list. Including the Goto button was a killer because most of us use it so often. And, we use Goto to learn about an object, not reach another part of our code.

We view the MRU as a list of sources one considers active -- the core set of files being edited.

The MRU remains between instances, and does not clear when on changes or closes a project. It's by design, at least for now. Use Clear All in described in mru.html, or start using the FIW and SIW dropdowns to freshen the list.

I've never added anything to the MRU, though I have right-click cleared it a few times. Despite that, it seems to collect a list of (generally irrelevant) filenames.

Something puts filenames into automatically (which now sounds like a bug) - I'll try and keep an eye on what that might be.

How about when selecting a function from the context bar drop-down? I tend to use this more than the SIW because it's not got so much extraneous stuff in.

Actually, selecting a function from the context bar drop-down does already seem to populate the MRU.

Like willdean, I also collect some filenames in there. I haven't worked out where they come from yet.

We believe we found the culprit for extra MRU entries and expect a fix in 1215.

Build 1215 eliminates superfluous entries in the MRU.
