We agree the information is confusing.
We suspect you have "Use default Intelllisense when available" enabled on the C/C++ node of our options dialog. In such a case, VA X gives the IDE a c hance to display a hovering tooltip. If it doesn't, VA X displays one of its own. You are seeing one tooltip from the IDE; the other from VA X. The information in the two comes from two parsers.

You might try disabling the "Use default Intellisense..." option and get all Intellisense from VA X. Revert only if VA X gets confused, eg with heavy use of ATL.
Without default Intellisense, all listboxes are from VA X. This means the bold and shrink options on our Completion tab have a much bigger impact. For more info, read the section Options to Alter Behavior of Listboxes in: http://www.wholetomato.com/x/products/features/members.html?more=yes |
