Using the mouse wheel in another application while Visual C++ 6.0 is running can cause it to crash. It always happens after some time and it already happened to me three times this morning.

There is two error reports:

MSDEV.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x1ee8ef78" referenced memory at "0x00000015". The memory could not be "written".

DevStudio Macro Terminator: MSDEV.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at "0x1ee8e9f5" referenced memory at "0x00000001". The memory could not be "written".

Still happens in 1216. But I found the culprit.

I removed the Logitech MouseWare software (version 9.01.78) and I no longer have the crash.

I don't know if the crash is still there with newer version of MouseWare.

I think the MouseWare software can send mouse wheel events to windows that doesn't have focus, maybe this is the problem?
