I have a question about how much of the "C/C++ Directories" features are working in the 1214 build.

I default to Platform: Win32. There, I see the Win32 paths that I set up in the IDE Tools|Options|Projects dialog. Everything seems good so far. I then switch to Platform: Xbox. The listboxes immediately change, but do not properly display my Xbox paths. Instead, I see this:

stable includes: <default path to XDK. No other paths are listed, even when I added more.>
other includes: <empty>
Library source: <Win32 source paths (not Xbox)>

I click OK or APPLY and I am told to restart the IDE, so I quit .NET 2003 and restart. Then, upon going back to the same options screen, it says it is using the Xbox configuration, but all the paths listed are the original Win32 paths.

Is any of this supposed to work yet, or should I just be patient? :)

Is it at least looking for the symbols in the properly for each platform?

Also, it would be nice if the "Other includes" dialog could show the current list of "Other Includes" that are being used to resolve symbol names. It would help enormously in setting up my paths properly to make sure VAX does the right thing.

Thanks for the help. This already indispensible tools has only gotten better!

Are you using VA.NET 2002 or 2003?

Sorry, its in the message, but I should have put it all at the top:

BUILD 1214
.NET 2003.

I do have .NET 2002 and .NET 2003 installed on the same system if that matters.

Thanks,
Wes

How much of the platform functionality is supposed to be working now?

If it is supposed to work, I am willing to answer any questions, supply screenshots, or whatever.

Thanks,
Wes

PS - It would be really nice if the "Other includes" dialog could show the current list of "Other Includes" that are being used to resolve symbol names. It would help enormously in setting up my paths properly to make sure VAX does the right thing.

Build 1216 recognizes entries in "Other include files" when Platform is "Custom."
