Hello

How can I get templates to work? I've just upgraded to X version.
If I type "wh" i get "while" as completion. I want to get the template instead:
while (-?)
{

}

We provide a default Autotext entry for "while". You need to type the full name of the entry to see the expanded Autotext. Otherwise, you get only when VA X guesses you might be typing.

Type "while" and select the expanded Autotext, or rename your Autotext entry from "while" to "wh". Use our options dialog.

If you are using build 1214 inside VC++, there is a bug that prevents VA X from noticing automatically changes to your Autotext. The bug will be fixed in 1215. For now, press the "Insert Code Template" button in our toolbar and clear the menu with ESC. The button forces VA X to reread the template file.

If you type "wh" and accept a suggestion of "while", VA X next suggests the Autotext for "while". Press Enter a second time to accept the Autotext.

I've changed the template to wh and restarted visual studtion. No diffrence, I still dont get the while template, only the autotext suggestion. I've also turned off autotext, still get it.

Got build 1214.

wh:
while (-?)
{
}

Do you have "Include Autotext..." checked on the Completion node of our options dialog?

We do not understand what is happening and what you expect VA X to do.

VA X might suggest "while" when you type "wh" whether or not you have Autotext enabled. If enabled and you have an entry for "wh", VA X is certain to suggest "while".

Can you post or send to [email protected] a few screenshots? If by email, please zip your screen shots.

Send also cpp.tpl from the Templates subdirectory of the VA X installation directory.
