Hi again,

When modifying the definitions of my function in the .h file, I have a tool tip showing the previous file, If I switch to another file (with CTRL+TAB or when the VA-X feature to switch to the .cpp file), the tool tip stays on the screen.

If our testing, a hovering tooltip disappears as soon as we press Ctrl.

Is the problem easily reproducible?

What IDE and build of VA X do you have? If VC++ 6.0, do you have "Auto type info" checked on the Text Editor|C/C++ 6.0 node of our options dialog, and do you have "Auto Type Info" enabled in the Tools|Options|Editor dialog (in VC++ 6.0 options)? The former should be enabled; the latter should not.

Do you have "Use Default Intellisense..." enabled on the Text Editor|C/C++ node of our options dialog?

Hi,

The problem does not appear when the mouse is moved over a function. It's when I'm modify a function and VA_X is suggesting parameter uses, the tool tip does not disappear all the time when I press CTRL + TAB. I have to click manually on the tool tip to hide it.

FYI, Intellisense is not enable (so the default option)

We are using this :

VA_X.dll file version 10.0.1215.0
Licensed to:
VA4 License:
DevEnv.exe version 7.0.9466.0
msenv.dll version 7.0.9466.0
Font: Courier New 13(Pixels)
Comctl32.dll version 5.82.2800.1106
WindowsNT 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 1
Single processor

I am seeing the same issue sporadically, but could not come up with a reproducible case, so I hadn't posted. Not only does the tooltip not always go away, but I've had multiple tooltips up at the same time, usually for the same thing, although in different places on the screen (probably due to the difference in cursor location in the various files).

Esc usually dismisses one of them, but I have to click on the other to make it go away.

VA_X.dll file version 10.0.1215.0

Most, if not all, stray tooltips eliminated in build 1216.

Please describe remaining scenarios.
