I'm running WinXP Pro SP1 (German) with VS.NET 2002 (German) and only C++ installed. The installer reaches 100% and then crashes, see

("The statement at 0x1ed0aac0 points to memory at 0x1ed0aac0. Could not read from memory.")

It does not matter whether I choose to reset key bindings or not. Unfortunately, the uninstallation routine does not seem to be correctly registered, which is why I cannot even get rid of the VA X installation.

Am I the only one having this problem? Doesn't anyone at least have an idea how to properly get rid of VA X in order to re-install VA .NET?

Try this:
"c:\\program files\\microsoft\\visual studio.net 2003\\Common7\\IDE\\devenv.exe" /setup

There is a lot of information about your version of the IDE in the following thread. Unfortunately, no magic answer. Plenty of suggestions.
