I just noticed this feature and was glad to find it, however I can't seem to get it to work at all. I checked the forums and saw this entry: http://forum.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=940
but even using their example I couldn't get the method to work at all. I tried the button in the toolbar and assigning it to a key binding, both without any results.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is this feature only for .NET?
One last thing, when this does work (assuming I'm not doing something incorrectly) will is sort #include files? I would truly love it if it did.
Thanks in advance for the help,

I just used it to sort a dozen or so #include's in VC6, and it works for me, but it's case-sensitive, so the results are not what I expected...
Does it also fail for you when you use the context-menu (shift-right-click)?

Yes it does work for me using the context menu Thanks! But the toolbar button and the keybinding (I'm using 'Left Windows, s') still don't work.
A very welcome feature and would be very cool if I could keybind it, as I hate to leave the KB if I don't have to :).
Props to you LarryLeonard for the help.

You're welcome. I tried the toolbar icon in VC6, and you're right, it doesn't work. (Works okay for me in .NET 2002, though.) I tried assigning a key to it, and that doesn't work either (unsuprisingly)...

VAssistX.SortSelectedLines does not work as of build 1219. We must have busted a few of our commands recently. We will fix them. Once working, you will have keyboard and toolbar access to sorting. |
