I noticed that Visual Assist X is not underlining mystyped symbols, as was in Visual Assist. In the "Corrections" property sheet, "Underline mistyped symbols" was using white. I changed it to Red and I still don't see the underline.
Is this known bug? This was one of the most useful features of Visual Assist. I may need to go back. |

Yup, this fails for me too in VC6. Works fine in .NET 2002. (1219)
At first I was amazed that none of us caught this, given how long 1219 has been out. But then I realized, I never mis-type symbol names anymore - VAX autocompletes/suggests/corrects case for me! So this bug is kind of a left-handed compliment. (Is that an Americanism?)

It is true about mistyping. I dont' mistype much anymore either. However, when you are copying and pasting blocks of code, oftentimes variables are not declared or duplicated. |

Still a bug in 1220 under VC6. And in 1220, misspelt comment underlining has also stopped working. |

Both misspelled symbols and comments are correctly red underlined for me in VC6 and 1220.

Larry,
After your report I uninstalled 1220, cleaned the registry entries that were left behind, and reinstalled 1220. Now I have underlining just as you report
Must be an installer problem. |

Hmmm... I may do that when 1221 comes out. Glad to hear it's working.

I've tried reinstalling after uninstalling, deleting orphaned Whole Tomato registry keys under HKLM and HKCU and deleting the directory left behind and still my mistyped symbols are not underlined. Never had a problem with mistyped comments and I'm using VS .Net 2003 with C# not VC6. |
